Located just 30 minutes from Durango, join us at beautiful Tuxon Ranch for a two-hour tour of our authentic 115-acre equestrian center! Immerse yourself on this guided walking tour, exploring everything from boarding stalls to our indoor arena. Discover the tools of the trade with displays showcasing ranch and horse equipment, protection methods, and training tools.

Take a leisurely wagon ride through our picturesque grounds, encountering animals, activities, and the thrill of the Wild West with a roping demonstration where you can join in on the action! Leave your mark with a hands-on branding experience, taking home a wooden branded plank of your choosing. In addition to our beautiful horses, guests will have an opportunity to meet the animals in our petting corral, where you can interact with and feed our charming mini-donkeys, ponies, and cows.

Enjoy our gift shop offerings and partake in light snacks and beverages while soaking in the rustic atmosphere. Extend your visit with options for overnight lodging, ensuring you can fully immerse yourself in the ranch experience. Guided tours are offered seasonally on select dates and tickets must be booked in advance through our ticketing partner Etix at the link below. Weather permitting, much of the property at Tuxon Ranch is accessible to those using mobility devices. However, please note that the property is unpaved and has areas with uneven surfaces. We apologize that due to rough terrain and uneven surfaces, some areas are not accessible to those using mobility devices.

From Durango:
Take US-160 West out of town, crossing the Animas River.
Stay on US-160 West for approximately 10 miles.
Take a left onto CO Road 140, heading towards Hesperus.
Stay on CO Road 140 for approximately 20 miles.
You will drive through the small town of Kline (Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary will be on your left).
On the south side of Kilen, look for CO Road 130.
Take a left on CO Road 130.
Stay on CO Road 130 for 2 miles. Tuxon Ranch will be at the end of the road, on your right.
Take a right through the wooden archway and look for the parking signs.

From Cortez:
Take US-160 East out of town, towards Mancos.
Stay on US-160 East for approximately 30 miles.
Take a Right onto CO Road 140, heading towards Hesperus.
Stay on CO Road 140 for approximately 20 miles.
You will drive through the small town of Kline (Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary will be on your left).
On the south side of Kilen, look for CO Road 130.
Take a left on CO Road 130.
Stay on CO Road 130 for 2 miles. Tuxon Ranch will be at the end of the road, on your right.

From Farmington:
From US-64, head North on NM Road 170, towards Colorado.
Stay on NM Road 170 for approximately 35 miles.
You will pass through the Town of La Plata and cross over the Colorado border.
Continue through the town of Red Messa, heading towards Kline.
Just before you enter the town of Kilen, look for CO Road 130.
Take a right on CO Road 130.
Stay on CO Road 130 for 2 miles. Tuxon Ranch will be at the end of the road, on your right.
Take a right through the wooden archway and look for the parking signs.
