John Harper

Owner

John Harper is the COO of American Heritage Railways. John graduated from Fort Lewis College with a focus in the School of Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality and Political Science and also holds certifications as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Responder, Hazmat Ops and Awareness tech, Wildland/Urban interface Firefighter and Engineer. His interest in western culture has played an important part in the companies involvement in historic preservation, local rodeo events and now the operation of Tuxon Ranch!

Haley Chumley

Ranch Manager

Graduating with a degree in Horse Training & Management, Haley has traveled all over the U.S. following her passion for horses. From breeding racehorses in KY, to riding barrel horses and cutters in CO and TX, and even working at facilities on the East Coast, Haley strives to make Tuxon Ranch the best it can be, and welcome every discipline through its doors!

Hanna Weaver

Barn Supervisor

Hanna was born and raised locally here in Colorado on a fifth-generation cattle ranch. She has had extensive experience working cattle and caring for horses on ranches in Utah, Colorado, and Arizona since graduation. She’s happy to be a part of the team at Tuxon Ranch and contribute to the atmosphere and animal welfare.

Maceyn Howard

Ranch Hand

Maceyn found her place in the world on the back of a horse and has trained in multiple disciplines. From riding hunt seat on an IHSA equestrian team to competing in collegiate rodeo, Maceyn brings experience and an enthusiasm for all things equine. A graduate of Fort Hays State University, and former PRCA Rodeo Queen, Maceyn has a passion for natural horsemanship, mentoring youth on all things agriculture and takes great pride in ensuring our equine partners are treated like family.
